I’m Kellie.

Fashion has always been in my blood. Ever since I can remember, my obsession with clothes and all things style started at a very young age. As a teenager I would spend countless hours each and every week studying fashion magazines, sketching clothes in my notebooks, and carefully planning my weekly 'look's for school.
When I would go shopping, I always had a plan. In my purse, I would have magazine tear outs of looks I admired in hopes of finding clothes to replicate those looks I adored, but at a price my mom could afford to buy for me.
This. Was. Me. My creative side always stood out not only in my style, but in the vision I had going forward.
I knew this, and after graduating from U.C. Riverside with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, I headed to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where I received my A.A. Professional Designation degree in Merchandise Marketing.
Fast forward to NOW. I am a Merchandising and Style Expert with over two decades of experience in the fashion industry. My vision and passion for creating, merchandising and styling has come to fruition. I launched Trend-Smart in 2013 after parting ways with the corporate space of the Fashion Buying Office, where I held the role of Contemporary Sportswear Buyer for almost a decade. Most recently, I am the Creative Director and Merchandiser for an L.A.-based, contemporary lifestyle brand that I have helped curate since 2014, and I am proud to be an integral part of its success.
After years of researching global fashion trends and working with some of the nations' TOP retailers, my extensive knowledge, unique perspective on style, and true love of fashion has fused my fashion education with my desire to help others maximize their business or themselves.
